ETHYLENE 2018 Symposium

The XI International Symposium on the Plant Hormone Ethylene will take place from June 2-6, 2018.

TomGEM coordinator Mondher Bouzayen (INPT) is co-chairman of the 2018 symposium and is co-organising the event that will be held in the historic Chania region on the stunning Greek island of Crete.

The TomGEM coordinator is a member of the scientific committee and will present work that has been performed within the EU project. As chair of session II on “Ethylene in Reproductive Growth-Development and Fruit Ripening”, Prof. Bouzayen will speak about “The network of hormone signaling underlying fruit ripening: allies and opponents”.

ETHYLENE meetings are an international affiliation of researchers working on all aspects of Ethylene. This includes investigations spanning from biosynthetic/ sensing/ transductive/ responsive mechanisms to assessing the biological activities of this hormone. The affiliation hosts meetings every 3-4 years for the past two decades that are regularly attended by TomGEM comsortium members.
