Get-together for the 15th Solanaceae Conference

Time has come for the next edition of the annual solanaceae meeting: the 15th Solanaceae Conference will be held from September 30 - October 4, 2018 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The organisers invite participants to discuss the new dynamics and challenges in solanaceae breeding and genomics. The conference aims to explore the major advances in proteogenomics and the breeding of solanaceae crops. The event is renowned for offering great opportunities for networking and the exchange of ideas with top scientists and professionals from industry and the research community.

As one of the invited speakers, TomGEM partner Prof. Dr. Antonio Granell (CSIC) will organize Session IV: Biodiversity (Tuesday, October 2). In this context, he will give a presentation on “The Biodiversity in the European Tomato Pool: a source for Fruit Quality and Plant Adaptation Traits”.

The conference will open on Sunday, September 30 and features several sessions, parallel workshops and off-site tours. The event is closed with a poster session after five days of immersing in all things Solanaceae.
