Carotenoid research from nature to bedside

The 2018 Gordon Research Conference on carotenoids will be held from June 17-22 in Newry, USA. The event will address the full spectrum of carotenoid and apocarotenoid research "from nature to bedside", fostering interdisciplinarity and transfer of research methods between different experimental systems.

As leaders in the key fields of carotenoid research, several TomGEM partners have been invited to present. Antonio Granell (CSIC) will give a talk on "Natural Variability in the Tomato Carotenoid and Apocarotenoid Networks and Its Adaptation to Internal and External Perturbations" while Paul Fraser (RHUL) will lead discussions on “Microorganisms and Biotechnology”.

The majority of the sessions will include speakers from different fields (microbial/ plant biology and biomedical research) to enhance cross-fertilization and exchange of ideas.
